The Reid Hotel is an extraordinary  hotel with a unique story to tell.  It is housed in a landmark building that was constructed in 1916 .   The hotel was moved to its current location by a team of horses in the 1930's .   It was originally named the EGAN ,  then the MAYO before becoming the REID HOTEL.

 

Today it is  the most luxurious  hotel in northern British Columbia. The  REID HOTEL boasts 9 elegant accommodations as well as bespoke services.

Excellent upscale boutique hotel

I found this boutique hotel last year and is now my go to when I am in Vanderhoof. Excellent room to get my work done with an upscale atmosphere.
The service is top notch and already have my next trip booked.

Upscale boutique guest house.

We had a wonderful experience staying at The Reid Hotel - which I would liken to an upscale Guesthouse.
The place is beautifully renovated to AAA 5 ♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️ levels of quality and style.
The Owner, Annette, is lovely and very thoughtfully offered to store our bikes indoors and refreeze our cooler icepacks.
The Reid Hotel is the nicest hotel within 300 kilometres and a remarkable value.
Stay there, you won't regret it !

I would say 10 out of 10 if I could

When I checked in yesterday, I was so impressed with not only our room, but the over-the-top service, welcoming and feel of this hotel. I mentioned to Annette, the proprietor, designer… orchestrator of this fine establishment, that I thought our room was Fairmont quality. What was I thinking! The room and service far exceeds any Fairmont I have stayed at, or any hotel for that matter. And it doesn’t stop there. Every detail is meticulously thought through and their service extends far beyond any place I have ever stayed. This is a destination hotel and I hope to find my way back again, asap.

This place is absolutely amazing! It should be featured in "Architectural Digest", yes it's that good! Stunning rooms with every possible luxury upgrade you can imagine. Priced very reasonably considering the level of luxury here.

Hidden Gem - Lucky Find.

We were driving home to Alaska and got to Vanderhoof in the evening. Our phones weren't working due to a glitch. No reservation. Four hotels of increasing scruffiness were full. Would we have to backtrack 60 miles? Thankfully desk at the last hotel let us use his phone to call the Reid. One room left and it was a beauty.
The Reid is a boutique family owned hotel recently sumptuously renovated. From the fragrant flowers in front to the stylish modern shower. Marvelous staff welcomed us bed was comfortable and amenities are top hole. Important tip CALL AHEAD. The door is always locked and so they need to let you in to give you a key.
